About the Rice Purity Test

Short on time? The 20-question version covers a mix of familiar and less common experiences. Medium has 30 questions, Long has 50, and Extra Long has all 100. The longer versions include the shorter sets and add more detail across the same six categories. The questions ask what you have done, rather than what you might want to try.

How your result is calculated

Your purity score is 100 multiplied by the proportion of No answers among the questions you answered, rounded to a whole number. For example, 5 Yes answers and 15 No answers gives 75. Skips and questions outside your selected length are excluded. With all 100 items answered, each Yes subtracts one point. Category scores show the percentage of reported experiences within each category.

A percentage summarizes your responses to this question set. It is not a percentile against other visitors. KinkyAtlas does not have a population comparison dataset, and we do not invent one.

Your questions, answered.

What does my Rice Purity Test score mean?

A higher score means fewer of the listed experiences; a lower score means more. It does not measure your character or what you should have done. Category percentages show reported experience, so they run in the opposite direction from the purity score.

How is the purity score calculated?

Your score is 100 × (1 − yes answers ÷ answered questions), rounded to a whole number. For example, 5 yes answers out of 20 gives 75. Skips are excluded. With all 100 questions answered, each yes subtracts one point.

Do the shorter versions only ask easier questions?

No. Every length covers all six categories and includes a range of experiences. The longer editions add detail rather than just turning up the intensity.

Can I compare scores from different lengths?

Use the same edition when comparing. Different question sets can give different scores, even with honest answers. Result links and saved cards include your chosen length.

Is this the official Rice University test?

No. These are independent adaptations with an edited question bank, not an unchanged copy of the original list. There is no affiliation with Rice University.
